The Hornery Group of Companies has evolved from humble beginnings, driven by Derran Hornery’s vision of
“Inspiring others to help make a difference”
.

Our commitment and passion for the local community is evident in the generous support and participation across numerous clubs and fundraising activities.

Our next exciting project is a cancer care passenger transit vehicle. The Group aims to support the RBWHF and Cancer Council with raising funds to provide this much needed service across the Brisbane Metro North Area in the near future.

The Hornery family have seen first-hand the struggles of cancer fighters and their loved ones. The son of Percy and Sandra, brother to Derran, Randall and Que, husband and father, Lachlan Hornery lost his battle with cancer in 2008.

Visit 4ULOC

In 2009 the Hornery Group added their first of many Pink Trucks, a Kenworth K104 water truck to their fleet. It was painted pink and named “4ULOC” in honour of Lachlan Hornery. The Pink Trucks started raising money to provide additional funding for medical equipment and comfort items for Cancer patients and their families at the Royal Brisbane Women's Hospital.  The Pink Trucks donate a percentage of their working hour to the RBWHF. The trucks also attend community and charity fundraising days to help raise awareness for Cancer Care Services.

In 2013, Derran Hornery initiated Moranbah’s Annual 4U2 Family Concert. A family day out at the Hornery Water & Transport depot in Moranbah. 3,500 people attend the Family Concert each year which brings world class artists to the community of Moranbah.

Moranbah’s Annual 4U2 Family Concert raises money for 3 charities:

  • Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital Foundation,
  • RACQ Central Queensland Rescue Helicopter, and the
  • Royal Flying Doctor Service.

Since 2013 the event has raised more than $320,000.

In 2014 Derran Hornery introduced the bottled water initiative, $ Donation for every water bottle sold goes to the RBWHF. The bottled water is sold throughout Queensland.
